As was discussed already, it's far too easy now to create new groups. It's also worth to keep creating new groups for free, but there should be a limit.
Supporting idea could be the auto cleanup of inactive groups. If a group is not active, have about from no to little post or few members, it should be automatically archived and then deleted after some time.
Great idea!
Something like this will eventually be required. However, I do not want to delete the posts - for archive purposes. I would just mark the group as archived and locked. A new group could take over the name, but the archived content will remain.
This sounds like a good approach, however, pls bear in mind that even inactive groups might have some funds. So, it should be clear, what will happen with money when the group is going to be archived.
Yes, it is possible. I would probably first send an email to the group admins with a deadline to withdraw funds. If not done after a time (maybe 1 year?), then the funds would be distributed to the community pool.
I will have to develop these terms of service!
