Announcing my new Lightning app:
https://kriptode.com/brickbreak/index.html
You can paste paywalled article url and pay with LN to read it.
Currently only washingtonpost is supported but I'm thinking about expanding it and some people even offered to contribute their subscriptions to sites and they will be able to get paid for it.
Let me know any site requests, feedback etc.
I've seen this app, but unfortunately I don't read washingtonpost.com. If I can suggest some applications (I don't know if they will sell):
* Publish0x->Lightning. Publish0x is a kind of blogging platform. It would be nice if you were an intermediary between Ethereum (Hydro, Bounty0x, DAI, BAT etc.) to Bitcoins in Lightning.
* In my opinion, you should extend the offer of the system like a cantor (Stellar -> Bitcoin). I would like to exchange Steem for Bitcoins and a couple of dollars in BTC for Smart Bitcoin (RBTC / RSK).
* Perhaps (on a small scale) the Lightning <-> Smart Bitcoin RSK exchange will work
Thanks! I'm working to expand the list of supported websites. is there any paywall website that you would pay with LN to read?
All good suggestions there but I like to limit my exposure to shitcoins because they are a liability and I don't want to have an issue when I try to dump them later. There are some great exhanges that convert other coins to LN, do they not have these dai, bat etc?
I'll look into rbtc, I want to do lbtc as well but I need investment otherwise I can't afford it.
Unfortunately, in Poland you don't read too many texts behind the paywall (they are, but they're not popular or they're regional).
They say that medium.com has a Paywall.
You can try to make a contract with satoshis.club and yalls.org to pay them e.g. 500 satoshi / month (depending on how many people use your service and how much they pay for Paywall). For example, for a fraction of the price you would pay to sell access.

I had another idea now, but you'd have to do some research. Bitcoin projects (Lightning) are not very popular. What if there was an advertising system in which someone (e.g. me) bought an advertisement (e.g. Zapread) and the money went to the creators of the sites? You would have to protect it properly (against bots), but I would buy the advertisements myself (for Zapread and promotion of other projects).
The question is how many people would like to add such an advertisement.
