Looking fresh now this what I like to see :=)
Hell yeah buddy :)
Great! What hardware did you use?
I'm pretty curious about performance :)
Hello! I wasn't getting notifications for this post, sorry.
I used a Raspberry Pi 3 Version B, a 16GB SanDisk MicroSD Card, a 1TB Seagate External Harddrive, and a case that included a fan and 5V 3A power supply (which was definitely necessary with the external harddrive being powered by the onboard USB port and not with a Powered USB hub). The performance is relatively nice, it operates at 35 degrees C on average and has been on 24/7 for a month now without any performance drops.
Thanks for your response :)
Do you use it as simple Lightning Network node or did you install something in addition like MySQL/Apache?I'm asking because I'm interested in a hardware like that and I would like to know if a locale site would run without problems.
Thanks in advice
I use it as a full Bitcoin node and a lightning node. There's nothing else installed on it besides those two things and their respective dependencies. It is very bare bones. I don't think there would be any problems running MySQL/Apache on it, but then again I know nothing about running locale sites or server hosting etc. Sorry!
Looks like a Raspberry Pi. I would use my Rpi for LN too except that I use it as my offline BTC wallet to sign my transactions. Home-made hardware wallet 😀
FYI: Just got my "I GOT LIGHTNING WORKING BUT ALL I GOT WAS THIS STICKER" sticker in the mail and it's now plastered on my setup ;) Took Blockstream about 3 weeks to deliver.
Awesome :) I also have the Blockstream stickers. I am thinking of ordering another one and just leaving it in the awesome envelope they send it in. I like the "Unfairly Cheap" stamp they put on the envelope.
What is your node url?
You can find me on 1ml Here
