Is the only way to get dark matter from expeditions?
I see some players have already got 14 geologist!! How is this possible?
Yep (and sometimes from events). Send massively ships on an expedition. Most often people send "Spy Probes", because they are very fast and cheap.
I keep getting taken out by 100 Battleships. Almost have defences up now. So hard to keep a fleet! I am sending my few Battleships out on expeditions lately but it is slow to get dark matter.
The game requires a lot of attention ;)While creating the second version of SteemNov I was thinking about the fact that there are small errors. There are no critical holes in the system, but this reboot made me realize that there is still a lot to change. In my opinion there are two possibilities for a lot of dark matter in players:- They play very actively- They have scripts that play for themI'm trying to come up with solutions to make scripts impossible - just in case. It's like a fight against cybercriminals, where you try to make it impossible to break / bypass the systems, but someone will do it.This is very interesting knowledge, we even talked about it once.Of course I don't have conclusive evidence. Are you playing after 18 hours is a fraud? In Tibia (MMORPG) one character was played by whole families in Brazil._______________________________
The whole system with dark matter has been planned this way. What I want to introduce in the future is the possibility of exchanging dark matter for Bitcoin (Lightning of course), but also for computer games, our other games in the future (if any - I have a friend who had his own Minetest game server - open Minecraft), maybe for advertising and so on.What I wanted to achieve was a small economy. Now I wonder if the officers (who are in the game by default) are a good idea. Maybe the only option that should be the temporary bonuses to play, that don't disturb the balance of the game. What I like is that we're gaining the favor of many 2moons engineers. Of course, SteemNova is a fork of the 2moons engine, which unfortunately fell. But we already have a couple of people trying to help us develop the code.
I just think that having 14 geologists so early on is probably impossible. It would require insane amounts of dark matter. Maybe they used a script.
I used to play a game like this about 10 years ago. It was very fun but was shut down. I recorded videos of the game with hopes to one day revive it. I have held on to a domain name for 10 years with plans to develop this game :)
It has features very similar, but it is also graphical so you have a map of your planets, fleets, and fog of war. It was really fun. I've written a map engine for the web which will run this and would just have to add the game around it. It's in C# (of course) :)
