Armillaria mellea - A hat with a diameter of 30 to 110 mm, first hemispherical with the incurved margin, then convex to flat with a sharp edge of honey, olive-brown; dry surface, covered with fine, darker scales, naked in older specimens, always darker in the middle. Stem 80 to 180 mm high, 5 to 15 mm thick.
It grows graciously, in large bundles, to several dozen fruiting bodies; in warm areas, on deciduous and fruit trees, on dead wood, rarely on the ground near trees.

Edible fungus, very tasty; only hats are suitable for consumption.
