I’ve already my own LN node (https://1ml.com/node/02ad921d465e6ecfe493e90864275ffcf1b70c6050c76e6c33701b0c3686d687b9).
but because of the blockchain size, it has been builded with LND zap version (with neutrino connector enabled on mainnet).
My new node will be deployed on a odroid XU4D (running on eMMC). My full node is currently replaying blockchain with txindex enabled on external SSD (1T).
Plus, I have planned to switch my node over TOR.
It's nice to have a full node available. I synced mine on a cloud machine. When doing the initial sync I pumped up the CPU and hard disk. When it was done I just scaled it down to minimum to keep steady state. I can move the image wherever I want to run it now.
Could you tell me what do you use to host your full node ?
Fast storage are quite expensive on cloud.
I use Azure. It's not cheap. I still spend over $50 a month. But I need something reliable since I am using it for the back end on my websites. I really like the Azure ecosystem for hosting.
I understand.
I’m little worried to host my own LN node. I’ve some important channel.
