Zapread has now updated the Lightning back-end to LND version 0.7.1-beta
This should help improve speed and stability of payments.
See the release notes for more information.
Great.BTW. It is possible to create multisig transactions in Lightning?
Good question. Lightning channels themselves are multisig transactions which have not been broadcast to the blockchain. With the future channel factories feature - what you will have is basically a multisig arrangement for generating channels.
See https://eprint.iacr.org/2018/918.pdf for a technical explanation. Basically, you have one multisig on-chain transaction, from which LN channels draw:
I was just wondering if it was possible to create a system in which funds for ZapRead would be impossible to hack.
Of course, I realize that you should hold on to as much as you can lose. But maybe it is possible to protect it with multisig? One key would have a server, the other a user (password?)
But this is only a hypothesis
Ok. My solution to that is going to be future Sphinx payments on earnings. If the user has a wallet then the payment will go there. Then Zapread will only keep custody as last resort backup.
